A Look at Uber’s Landing Page Testing from 2015

Here at iSpionage, we’ve built some unique features that make it easy for companies and advertisers to keep a close eye on their competition.

One of those features is landing page surveillance technology that monitors competitor landing pages and emails and saves screenshots whenever changes are made.

It’s a great way to know what your competition is up to and to get landing page ideas for your own campaigns.

To give you an idea of what this looks like, we’re sharing a sampling of landing page changes Uber’s made so far in 2015 that we discovered with our landing page surveillance technology. It’s not a complete list of every single change they made or tested, but it will give you an idea about what headlines and styles they’ve experimented with.

The start date for these pages is January 17, 2015 and the end date is November 3, 2015. The keywords we monitored to find these pages are terms like “car driver jobs,” “hire a car,” and “coffee shops hiring.”

So why are we showing you Uber’s landing pages?

The main reason is that they are the most active A/B tester we’ve found for PPC landing pages. There are some other campaigns that are really interesting, like presidential campaigns, but Uber’s done so much testing that they’ve given us a lot of material to work with. Uber’s also in the news a lot which means we figured people would be interested in reading about them.

So now, without further ado, here’s a look at some of the different landing page variations Uber’s run in 2015.

Note: The first landing page seems like it’s exactly the same as the second one, but the second advertises being able to earn $27/hour where the first advertises $28/hour. Our landing page technology is so sensitive that it picked up this small of a change and added the latest page as a new variation. Did anything stand out to you? If so, leave a comment to let us know. We, for one, are impressed that the lady standing next to a white Prius image and layout seems to have won out over multiple challengers over the year.

p.s. Are you interested in keeping a close eye on your top competitors by closely monitoring their PPC campaign and website changes? If so, send me an email at joe@ispionage.com, and I’ll be happy to explain in more detail how it works.
